The head of the Department of Public Health and Environment of the World Health Organization, María Neira, announced that by 2022 the pandemic by Covid-19, which affects the whole world, will be controlled, as long as the vaccination campaigns advance.
María Neira released this information at a conference in Spain, where she reported that so far WHO It does not have an expected date for the end of the pandemic, but advances in vaccination against Covid-19 can control it as it reduces severe cases, so can be controlled by 2022.
The World Health Organization believes that a third dose of the Covid-19 vaccine will be necessary, however many countries have already begun to vaccinate their vulnerable population, such as minors.
