Following the drone detonations, the security forces proceeded to block access to the Erbil airport area.
It should be noted that, in recent months, attacks against US soldiers in Iraq have become frequent and, despite the fact that no one has acknowledged it, the US government often links them to pro-Iranian factions in Iraq.
