Leon, Guanajuato.- Road robberies in Mexico continue to be a frequent situation, this time a trailer loaded with more than 20 tons of copper was stolen in the municipality of Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco, the criminals escaped in the direction of León, Guanajuato. The National Institute of Recyclers (INARE), reported that an alert was activated at the national level to find the whereabouts of the trailer, the economic reward is five million pesos in merchandise.
It was last Wednesday when the trailer with plates of the Federal Public Service 27 AK8K, departed from San Luis Potosí in the direction of Guadalajara Jalisco, on the freeway León-Lagos de Moreno thugs intercepted the trailer and proceeded to lower the driver, kidnapped the unit and drove it towards León.
One of the complainants expressed to the media that it is common for them to exchange boxes and since they are made of aluminum, it is easy to sell them in scrapyards. There is already a lawsuit before the judicial authorities of Jalisco, in coordination with Guanajuato, they are already looking for the trailer.
The INARE has publicly expressed that the insecurity experienced on the roads is worrying, at the beginning of the year, there was also a nationwide demonstration this time by the Mexican Alliance of Organization of Carriers AC who reported feeling fear due to the constant assaults on trucks and trailers in the Mexican Republic.
