Celia was located approximately 410 kilometers (km) southwest of Manzanillo, Colima, and 400 southwest of Playa Pérula, Jalisco, at 7:00 p.m. (Central Mexico time).

It maintains maximum sustained winds of 85 km/h, gusts of 100 km/h and its displacement continues towards the west-northwest at 19 km/h.
