Sedena will spend almost 22 million pesos on the sculpture of General Felipe Ángeles for the AIFA

The Felipe Angeles International Airport (AIFA) will have at its entrance a monumental sculpture of the general, for which the Secretary of National Defense (Sedena), in charge of the work, will pay 21 million 983 thousand 577 pesos.

With this, the federal agency will receive the monumental sculpture of 10 meters high and 20 tons of weight that the artist will make Edysa Ponzanelli, according to the contest launched last June and in which it was the winner.

Likewise, according to El Universal, Sedena will pay the almost 22 million pesos in four payments between 2021 and 2022, with an advance of 7 million 694 thousand 016 pesos, or 35 percent.

While the contract between the agency and the artist contemplates that Ponzanelli bears the expenses of taxes, duties, insurance, packaging, transport, loading, unloading, hoisting, assembly, placement and / or any other additional derived from home delivery. .

While for this the sculptor will have up to March 9, 2022, 12 days before the inauguration of the AIFA, on March 21, when, in addition to being finished, the work must already be installed at the entrance of the air terminal.

“The supplier must deliver the sculpture placed in the roundabout that connects the external roads of the passenger terminal from the Felipe Ángeles International Airport, with a deadline of March 9, 2022, along with any other documentation that has been generated on the occasion of the signing of this contract ”, reads the contract published by the newspaper.

In addition, it specifies that the sculpture will be manufactured in cast bronze and that when delivered it must have a transparent polyurethane coating that protects it and preserves its patina effect.
