Approximately one thousand cultural managers are working to promote painting activities, in Mexico about 60 managers are registered, while in Peru there are more than 120 managers.

“For peace and the environment” is the motto under which the paintings that will make up the mosaic largest art museum in history, which will be inaugurated in the municipality of Mocorito in the coming months.

Ríos Rocha said that this project will be carried out in coordination with the Cultural Organization Art Without Borders for Peace, chaired by César Augusto Rincón González in Colombia.

He also indicated that there are between 8,000 and 10,000 people who are working with their artistic creations, including children, older adults, young people, artists with a career and even amateurs.

“The idea is that it reaches the majority of people,” he said.

Colombia, Mexico, Venezuela, India, Italy, Peru, Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Argentina, Dominican Republic, Panama, Honduras, Guatemala, Cuba, Uruguay, United States, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, El Salvador, among others, are the countries that will send their creations to be part of this great mosaic artistic.

In this regard, the president of the OMAI highlighted that it is expected to receive between 12,000 and 15,000 paintings for the formation of the mosaicof which 3 thousand have been painted in Colombia, 4 thousand in Puerto Rico and more than 200 paintings in Mexico, to mention a few examples.


However, since the paintings will be received from other countriesthe artist revealed that problems are arising in customs, so they ask the Secretary of Foreign Relations of Mexico, Marcelo Ebrard, and the Governor of Sinaloa, Rubén Rocha Moya, the facilities so that this noble project can be carried out with success.

“We call on you to help us in this cause that will bring a lot of tourism to Mocorito and Sinaloa,” he said.
