Melany needs to be operated on to continue her cancer treatment at Ahome

Los Mochis, Sinaloa.- A year ago, Melany Sandoval, a young woman from Ahome barely 26 years old, was diagnosed with endometrial cancer.

From that moment, on September 7, 2020, her life had a complete change that to this day has made her face trials that she never imagined, such as fighting for her life in the middle of heavy treatments.

Although she received 25 radiations, 6 chemotherapies and 4 brachytherapies, they were not enough for the neighbor of the San Isidro ejido, in Higuera de Zaragoza, to eliminate the tumor.

That is why it requires an almost urgent intervention to be able to continue with the chemotherapy treatment, because according to what the specialists have told him, the tumor is moving to the vaginal area.

“I have already received chemotherapies, radiation and treatments. They did help me because they took away the pain, but the tumor is there. The doctors tell me that they can’t remove it because it’s too big, that’s why I need this surgery to be able to continue with the chemo ”, he indicated.

In the same way, he pointed out that according to what he has been told, he needs two catheters to be placed in the area of the vagina in order to continue with the chemotherapy treatment.

The appointment is scheduled for September 22, so the surgery would have to be done in the next few days, but he does not have enough resources, which are 25 thousand pesos.

The doctor who is going to put the catheters is Dr. Sánchez and he is going to operate on me at the Angeles clinic, but I have to have the full money, what has me worried is that the operation has to be before Tuesday because the doctor will he’s going on vacation that day, ”she said desperately.
