It’s going to end! October 20, all Veracruz citizens will be vaccinated against Covid-19: Cuitláhuac García

Veracruz.-The governor of Veracruz, Cuitláhuac García, assured that on October 20 the inhabitants of the state will be vaccinated against Covid-19, as the Federal Government anticipated months before through the National Vaccination Plan.

During The President’s Morning Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO), Cuitláhuac García reported that by the scheduled date all Veracruz citizens of legal age will have at least one of the two doses necessary for the inoculation of the coronavirus.

“Before October 20, we will have all adults vaccinated,” declared the state president.

Cuitláhuac García I present a report from the conference on the advancement of vaccination in Veracruz, highlighting the good response that has existed from citizens, especially the younger population.

He also reported that all the municipalities of Veracruz already have the vaccines that will be applied to the elderly in the entity, waiting only for the doses to be applied in the vaccination brigades.

Vaccination in Mexico

So far, the vaccination program, which includes all those over 18 years of age, accumulates 152,087 million doses applied by adding 338,206 during the last day.

So far, 65.34 million people over the age of 18 have at least one dose. That is, 72% of the adult population.

Since the end of December 2020, the country has received 118.94 million doses of the Anglo-Swedish vaccines AstraZeneca, the Russian Sputnik V, the American Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson and Moderna, in addition to the Chinese CanSino and Sinovac.

According to Federal Government estimates, by the end of October more than 120 million doses will have been received and before the end of 2021 there will be a total of 150 million doses.
