Former member of Caifanes dies; “See you on the other side”, writes the band

Mexico.- Mexican rock dresses in mourning this Thursday, September 16. On the afternoon of this day, Caifanes announced that Juan Carlos Novelo, who was its first drummer, lost his life.

It was in 1987 when Saul Hernandez, vocalist and guitarist; Sabo Romo, on the bass; Diego Herrera, on keyboard and saxophone; and Juan Carlos Novelo, on drums, formed the renowned rock band in Spanish.

Through his official social networks, Caifanes regretted the death of his former partner, whom they considered a “great musician and super human being“.

“We were a good carnal, great musician and super human being, companion of several battles and sounds, Juan Carlos Novelo, first drummer of Caifanes. Good road carnau, see you on the other side, “wrote the Mexican group in the publication to which he attached a photograph of Novelo.

Until now, the causes that led to the death of the musician are unknown who, after leaving the band, was replaced by Alfonso André González.
