Estrada Ferreiro announces revision in Culiacán buildings, after shoe store collapse

Culiacán.- The Mayor Jesús Estrada Ferreiro announced on his social networks that the work of rreview of establishments found in historic buildings in the city of Culiacán, after the collapse of the roof of a shoe store that ended the life of a woman.

The aforementioned Incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. on Monday in the establishment located on Ángel Flores street in the center of the capital of Sinaloa. Despite the rapid action of the emergency forces, a worker died at the scene.

Two more people were injured from this accident, a 34-year-old woman identified as Claudia and a 54-year-old man named Erasmo. Both suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene. However, two young men were rushed to a city hospital.

Therefore, the municipal president announced that “due to the unfortunate events of this Monday afternoon, where the roof of a shoe store collapsed, the revision work will be intensified in the establishments located in historic buildings of the first square.”

“This is essential, so we will seek that historic buildings are complying with all regulations, to avoid accidents.”, He posted on Facebook

For this purpose, Estrada Ferreira explained that the work would be carried out in a coordinated manner with personnel from the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH).
