CDMX Government Announces the Closing of the Zócalo for National Celebrations

The reopening of the Capital Zocalo it did not last long, because the CDMX government announced its closure for the celebrations of September 15 and 16.

This, after an agreement with the businessmen of the Historic Center, the authorities removed the fences that protected the Zócalo plate to allow free passage.

While, according to the statement issued today, it only specifies that the square will be closed today 11 of September, not to mention if they will reopen on Thursday 16.

Likewise, the commercial establishments around the Zócalo, such as restaurants, bars and terraces, will close at 9:00 p.m. of the September 11-14.

Similarly, these businesses will be allowed to operate until 17:00 hours Wednesday, September 15, for the Scream, and open the next day after 3:00 p.m., in order to allow time for the civic-military parade to conclude on the occasion of the Independence of Mexico.

While the Hotels located in front of the Zócalo grid will only be able to operate with a verified reservation, while their bar restaurants They must attend only to guests and with the same hours as the rest of the establishments in the area.

For this reason, the CDMX Government called on the citizens of the capital to anticipate their trips, in case they have to enter the Historic Center, as well as take into account the schedules for this week.

On the other hand, this Friday the head of Government Claudia Sheinbaum presented the newsstands that will replace the existing ones in the Historic Center of CDMX, in order to renew public furniture.
