Begin your Vidanta Cruises adventure without having to travel abroad

Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- The maritime adventure to discover the tourist jewels that the Mexican Pacific offers, began this April 15 at 10 in the morning with the inaugural arrival of the Vidanta Elegant, first luxury cruise ship of the Mexican line Vidanta Cruises.

The exclusive mega yacht with capacity for 298 passengerswill cover the Nuevo Vallarta Mazatlán, Mazatlán- Nuevo Vallarta route and will offer Mexicans the possibility of boarding a luxury cruise without having to travel abroad.

During the official launch of the national cruise company, at the Mazatlán port terminal, Vidanta’s Director of Operations, Alexis Godoy Álvarez, celebrated the birth of the new shipping line.

Before authorities such as Rear Admiral Mariel Aquileo Ancona Infanzón, director of the Port of Mazatlán (ASIPONAMAZ) and the Secretary of the Mazatlán City Council, Edgar González, on behalf of Mayor Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, the director of Vidanta expressed:

“Today we are making history as the first Mexican cruise community, from a Mexican company, in a Mexican port,” he said to thank the support provided by the naval and civil authorities in Mazatlan.

During the arrival of the ship from Puerto Vallarta with 174 cruise passengers and 160 crew members on board, Estrella Palacios Domínguez, Undersecretary of Tourism Promotion and Operation of Sinaloa, highlighted the pleasure of witnessing this historic event, because it is the first Mexican cruise.

It is a luxury cruise and I am very proud to witness its arrival in Mazatlan because I had to be part of Group Viewing for many years and it seems wonderful to me to see that the engineer Daniel Chávez (President of the Vidanta Group), already has his own national shipping company, as he once dreamed, expressed Estrella Palacios.

Representing the Secretary of Tourism of Sinaloa, Rosario Torres Noriega, the state official participated in the exchange of plates and highlighted that Vidanta Cruise offers Mazatlan the opportunity to continue to position itself as a safe and reliable destination for shipping tourism.

“I am sure that everyone who gets off this cruise will be amazed because Mazatlan is more beautiful than ever and this represents the opportunity to continue growing in the cruise offer that we currently have.”

The state official highlighted the interest of the Governor of Sinaloa, Rubén Rocha Moya, so that the spillover from tourism, in this case from cruise passengers, benefits a greater number of communities, not only traditional destinations.

The goal is for tourism to become a tool that generates development and well-being in our Magical and Stately Towns and in all communities with a tourist vocation, he pointed out.
