Baby is rescued in Edomex, his mother’s boyfriend burned him with oil and cigarettes

State of Mexico.- A child of one year and six months of age was rescued by authorities of the Office of the Attorney for the Protection of Girls, Boys and Adolescents of the DIF from the municipality of Atizapán de Zaragoza, State of Mexico, after doctors detected that he had burns from cigarettes and hot oil on his body.

The attorney for the DIF Atizapán announced that they received an alert call from the social work area of ​​the Dr. Salvador González Herrejón hospital, where they reported that a child had been admitted for moderate head trauma and that he had several body burns.

According to the testimony of 27-year-old Paola, the boy’s mother, he had fallen from the stairs of his house and hit his head.

Nevertheless the minor had various traces of abuse, so a multidisciplinary team was notified to attend to the case, so a medical examiner from the Public Ministry Specialized in Family, Sexual and Gender Violence located in Atizapán, Lozano Monter, specified that the minor had several recent scars and old by burns in different parts of his body, standing out those caused in his back and feet.

In view of this, the Public Ministry opened an investigation folder and the minor was made available to the Office of the Attorney for the Protection of Girls, Boys and Adolescents of the DIF Atizapán.

According to the mother’s testimony, she met 28-year-old Alejandro, her current partner, through Facebook, with whom she began a relationship and after a couple of months of dating they decided to live together, which changed the life of the little.
