6-degree earthquake leaves two dead and three injured in China

China.- A 6 degree earthquake on the Richter Seismological Scale in Luxian County, China, caused the death of at least two people dead and multiple homes collapsed.

The powerful earthquake occurred around 8:33 p.m. in Mexico City, but at 04:33 a.m. on September 16 in China.

Luxian County is located in the Sichuan province, where the earthquake had its epicenter, according to the China Seismological Administration, causing three people to be injured.

This institution in charge of monitoring the earthquakes, indicated that 22 minutes after the 6-degree earthquake was registered in the Richter seismological scale, a 2.8 degree replica was detected.

The state news agency Xinhua indicated that the victims counted so far occurred in the aforementioned county, and that the earthquake caused the collapse of several houses in the area.
